easily without using expensive medications. What does CIDP
stand for ? C means chronic, I means Inflammatory,

attacking the Myelin covering around the nerves and making them
weak. So if you suffer from weakness, fatigue, tiredness, numbness,
pain you may have CIDP.
Questions.
Why do some people get autoimmune disease?
The people who get autoimmune diseases have immune systems that
overreact to environmental toxins and may be suffering from immune

proteins may get exposed to their immune system which starts producing
autoantibodies.

A study published in Annals of Internal
Medicine shows men who consume three or more
alcoholic drinks a day are 42% more likely
to suffer a stroke than non-drinkers,
thus adding weight to the message that more
moderate consumption is good to health.
The gains from any quantity of alcohol
in preventing strokes are limited, says the
study.
The participants who were at lowest
risk for stroke were the men who consumed
one or two drinks on three to four days of
the week, said Kenneth Mukamal, head of the
researchers from Beth Israel Medical Centre
and the Harvard School of Public Health in
Boston, Massachussetts.
The extra risk for the
three-or-more-a-day drinkers might be
attributable to alcohol's association with
high blood pressure and irregular heartbeat,
he said. Red wine appeared to offer slightly
more protection against a stroke than other
alcohol. |
